Assembly is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information about you and your child when you interact with our courses and services.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

• Coordinate studio visits and course inquiries

How We Store Your Information

All personal information is stored securely using Airtable, a cloud-based database service. Enrolment workflows are supported by Supabase for authentication and data management.

Sensitive information (medical conditions, dietary requirements, emergency contacts) is never displayed back through any online tool. This information is entered once at the source and is used only by Assembly staff and instructors delivering the course.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Payment Processing

Assembly currently processes payments through manual invoicing. When payment processing is integrated, we will use secure, industry-standard payment processors. Payment card details are never stored on our systems.

Data Retention

• Contact information (name, email, phone) is kept while your family is actively enrolled in Assembly courses.
• Sensitive information (medical, dietary, emergency contact) is deleted 12 months after your last active enrolment, unless your family re-enrols within that period.
• Newsletter subscribers remain on our mailing list until they unsubscribe.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations)
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

Cookies and Tracking

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this website. It tells us which pages are visited, how people find us, and roughly where in Australia they are. We use it to make the site clearer for families.

Google Analytics sets cookies on your device. It records the pages you view, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (city level). It does not receive your name, email address, phone number or any information about your child. We never send the contents of an enrolment, registration, booking or waitlist form to Google.

We have switched off Google signals and ad personalisation. We do not use this data for advertising and we do not build advertising profiles.

Google processes this data on servers that may be outside Australia. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.

You can opt out at any time. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you using the site.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to support our operations, including:

• Airtable: for secure data storage and management
• Supabase: for authentication and enrolment workflows
• Email service providers: for newsletters and communications
• Google Analytics: for website usage statistics

These services are bound by their own privacy policies and security standards. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Children's Privacy

Assembly courses are designed for children and young people. We only collect information about children with parental or guardian consent through the enrolment process.

Parents and guardians have the right to review, update, or request deletion of their child's information at any time.

Photography and Media Consent

During the enrolment process, we ask for your consent to photograph your child and use those images for promotional purposes (website, social media, marketing materials).

You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at studio@assembly.net.au .

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
